futurefact reveals the underlying social, economic and political forces driving our complex society. In addition the survey tracks lifestyle, communication, marketing and technology and includes a large media and social media component. Our rigorous national probability sample of adults aged 18 years and over provides a substantial database for reliable decision-making.
By revealing the forces driving South African society, futurefact enables clients to make the informed shifts in both strategy and focus required to keep in tune with their target sectors with content and messaging that resonates with their mindsets.
futurefact 2017 will be based on a national probability sample of around 3 000 adults aged 18 years and over (but excluding communities of fewer than 500 people). Face-to-face, in home interviews are conducted in the home language of the selected respondent. As previously, the use of probability sampling enables the data to be weighted to population and provides the degree of rigour required in a tracking survey. Fieldwork will be conducted in the first half of 2017 by AC Nielsen.
There are various ways to access the survey, including many previous surveys, to enable trend analyses across the years.
A) FULL SUBSCRIPTION
2015/16 SURVEY (available immediately)
A subscription of R320,000 ex VAT, gives subscribers electronic access to the full set of futurefact 2015 data plus all previous surveys through one of their usual software suppliers such as Telmar, Infosense, Eighty20, SoftCopyand SPSS.
A subscription of R340,000 ex VAT, gives subscribers electronic access to the full set of futurefact 2017 data plus all previous surveys through one of their usual software suppliers such as Telmar, Infosense, Eighty20, SoftCopyand SPSS. futurefact full subscribers are able to include a maximum of FIVE bespoke / confidential questions which need to be finalised by March 2017. The cost will be R63,400 each for the first two questions; R67,000 for the third question; R71,000 for the fourth questions and R73,000 for the fifth and final question.
futurefact also offers tailor-made analyses based according to the subscribers' objectives. This involves an additional cost over and above the initial subscription and is quoted according to the extent of the brief.
B) ONCE-OFF ACCESS
A tailor-made analysis and presentation / report based on an interrogation of the futurefact database by a futurefact specialist. There is a once-off access fee with an additional charge for data analysis and presentation which is dependent upon on the extent and complexity of the brief / client requirements. C) AD AGENCIES ACCESS
Advertising agencies have traditionally not been able to subscribe to futurefact but as a result of the number of enquiries received from agencies, we have instituted the 20x20 option. For a once-off access fee of R20,000 an agency can specify a data run of 20 columns by 20 rows. Additionally, the once off access fee plus analysis is also offered.
ENSURING THE SURVEY CONTENT REMAINS RELEVANT, DYNAMIC & DIAGNOSTIC
Each year a workshop is held to discuss the prospective content for the new questionnaire. This ensures that relevant issues are tracked and new pertinent issues are monitored. The futurefact team also meets individually with subscribers who wish to include dedicated questions and also consults opinion leaders on their views.
